From the jungles of the Amazon to the concrete jungle of New York City!
As I get closer to the end of this two year journey, I reflect on all that has happened and on what’s to come, and I can see God’s hand all over it.
I’m overwhelmed to think of all His goodness. We can report that there are tribal leaders in Brazil that are promising to do what they can to stop infanticide with the help of others. I can testify to God’s provision and protection over my life and my family’s lives. And now that I’m back on the mainland, seeing the doors that are opening, the connections being made, and meeting people that are actually fighting against human trafficking.
I know I’m one that always likes to see quick results, but through this journey I’m learning that when we stay faithful, when we continue to press in, especially when it gets hard, God’s still working on the ‘big picture’, whether I can see it or not.
While here in New York City, we are connecting with churches, non-profit organizations, artists, universities, the fashion industry, government……you name it….to talk about how we can partner together to make this world a better place. To stop consuming, and start helping one another. To love one another, and to fight against injustice, specifically human trafficking.
I’ve experienced so much in the past two years, and now I want to share those moments, those lessons. I want to start walking it out and not just end up with a nice ‘coffee table book’.
Will you join me in this walk? Follow our tour over the next two and a half months. Tell me what’s happening in your communities. Tell me about people that are making a difference. Connect us with those people or people in our tour cities.
Follow my trip around the world by viewing my photos online, or purchase our book ‘Sex & Money: A Global Search for Human Worth’ which is a collection of stories and photos of the amazing people we have met along the way. All of this contributes to the fight against human trafficking!
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement along the way!
